By serving as a hub for these business details, this site makes business information easier to find online and establishes a strong online presence for the entire business district.
“Buy Local, By Locals”: Shoplocalmacon.com encourages you to buy local and is maintained by local businesses. Approximately 45 percent of each dollar spent at a locally owned business is retained in the community. For every $100 spent in independently owned stores, $68 returns to the community through taxes, payroll and other expenditures.

Thanks to a grant from the Knight Foundation, business listings on this site are provided free of charge to retailers located in the College Hill Corridor and Downtown Macon, Georgia.
